Business & Professional Women's Club INC

Yesterday we were invited to a meeting at the Business & Professional Women's Club INC.
The meeting was held in the Quality Inn hotel, Parnell. The club's vision is to be a high profile women's club, embracing diversity. They want to build networks and empower women to succeed. Eva was invited to be a guest speaker, and we also practiced her program "Children massage children". It was much appreciated and a perfect ending to an informative evening.

Expanding our connections

Today, we had a very interesting meeting at Family Works with Ian Tomkins. It was interesting to discover that social work principles are similar in Sweden and New Zealand. We look forward to developing a deeper co-operation in the future.

Presenting Eva’s annual course

The name of the course is CMC Children Massaging Children and CMC for Health Professionals. The people you see in the pictures have been at Kawai Purapura in North Shore Albany in Auckland, and here Eva Scherer had her annually course. On the first day we had theory and on the second day we were all ready practicing children massaging children. It was two really interesting days and we learned so much.

Internship

During my internship here in Child Connection Trust, one of my tasks is to reach out to social media. I do my internship here for 15 weeks and I am so exiting to work with Eva and her volunteers here in this organization. This is also a great opportunity for me to make comparison with my home country which is Sweden.
Some brief summary of my background with children are among other things: practice on social services with foster care and kindergarten. I have also worked with children with special needs in Norway. My nephews are a big part of my life. They and all other children are my greatest teachers.
